2. Indulge in a fun-filled day at Sentosa

If a fun-filled date is what you’re looking for, a five-minute train ride with the Sentosa Express monorail will lead you to an island filled with activities. The island is known for its scenic beaches where you can spend quality time on picnics with your date. Pack your favourite food, drinks, games and maybe even your current reads – the essentials for a wholesome date with your partner. With many beach restaurants and bars, you can never run out of places for a nice dinner date.

If you and your partner are thrill-seekers, Universal Studios Singapore (USS) at Sentosa is home to Transformers: The Ride 3D, Battlestar Galactica, Revenge of the Mummy, and so many more. Sentosa Island offers an exhilarating experience for thrill-seekers like you and your partner, with a range of exciting attractions such as Transformers: The Ride 3D, Battlestar Galactica, and Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios Singapore (USS). Additionally, you can also try the famous skyline luge where you and your partner can race each other and get your adrenaline pumping. 3. Escape a room together with The Escape Artist

Putting two heads together is better than one, quite literally, in our next suggestion – visiting an escape room together! If you and your other half enjoy shows like Sherlock Holmes, games like Mafia and Cluedo, and anything that involves racing against time to find the correct answer, this date idea is for you.

A highly recommended suggestion is visiting The Escape Artist – Singapore’s first escape company established in 2013. Providing both physical rooms in Harbourfront and VR Escape Games, The Escape Artist packs a bucketload of fear, fun and adrenaline as you try to break out while keeping your head cool. Choose from various escape rooms with varying difficulty levels, fear factor ratings and even different lighting setups!

The cost of two people visiting a room is $56. However, splurging a little more for a date is always worth it, especially when experiencing it for the first time.

4. Art Jamming

For couples who are less about the adrenaline and more about the arts, an art jamming session is one idea you should greatly consider for your date! Look forward to creating special pieces of art together and exchanging them after the session with the guidance of experienced mentors.

Located at 313@somerset, Cafe de Paris is a dessert cafe offering mouth-watering cakes and coffee and an art jamming session for patrons to enjoy. Established in 2009 in Korea, Cafe de Paris aims to break away from the approach of general and popular cafes by levelling up the quality of coffee beans used and creating a welcoming environment for their customers. This also explains why the cafe’s decorations are heavily influenced by the aesthetics of its original cafe in Korea.

At Cafe de Paris, they offer a complimentary drink during its 3-hour session and provide all necessary art supplies, reference pictures, and an e-guide sheet. The sessions are non-guided for customers to unleash their creativity on a piece of blank canvas freely.

Sessions are affordably priced at $47.55 per couple, and only the paying pax are allowed entry into the cafe. Quickly book your slots here before you head there!

5. Recipe for Success at The Icing Room

Nothing beats an affordable date option that involves fun and food! At Singapore’s first-ever ‘Design-It-Yourself’ (DIY) cakes and pastry shop, let your creativity run wild and work with your partner to create a delicious memory. The Icing Room, which is a part of local bakery – BreadTalk, is a cheaper alternative to those trending Korean bento cake workshops. Described as a therapeutic activity and a great way to demonstrate teamwork, this is an activity that you don’t want to miss.

The DIY Chantilly cake set includes a basic cream cake, 5 piping bags filled with pastel coloured icing, a variety of sprinkles, decorations and a chocolate tag. Choose from cake sizes of 4-inch at $15, 6-inch at $20 and 8-inch at $25.

If you do not wish to leave the house, do not worry. The Icing Room is available on the FoodPanda app and you can opt for the cake decorating kit to be delivered to your doorstep. This would also serve as a cute stay-home date activity at an additional cost of $2 while still being affordable. Embrace each other’s differences while cooking up memories and spending quality time. These might just be the ingredients to improving your relationship.
