However, if you’re on a limited budget, it might be hard to go out and have fun, with the issue of money at the back of our minds. Here are our top recommendations for enjoying yourself while going easy on your wallet.

MUSEUMS (FREE)
Maybe you have heard stories from your parents about life in Singapore before we knew it, but you want to discover even more of Singapore’s rich heritage. If that is the case, look no further than the many museums and heritage centres under the National Heritage Board; all admission costs are free!
These museums and heritage centres include: Asian Civilisation Museum, National Museum of Singapore, The Peranakan Museum, Singapore Philatelic Museum, Indian Heritage Centre, Malay Heritage Centre, Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall and Reflections at Bukit Chandu. If you are curious and want to learn more, take advantage of the free admissions and head down now.

HAY DAIRIES (FREE-$5)
Want to experience something more unconventional? Head down to Singapore’s only goat farm with your friends and family. Opened in 1988, Hay Dairies offers free and easy tours around the facilities and get the opportunity to watch as the farmers milk the goats that will eventually be shipped to stores. If you want a closer experience with the goats, you can purchase their ‘Alfafa Hay’ package for $5 to feed and touch the goats.
However, before visiting, please keep in mind that groups larger than 10 are required to have prior booking before visiting the facility. Those who want to visit should also know that for hygiene purposes, anyone who has visited a cow farm within the last month will not be allowed entry into the farm.
We hope that you enjoy the different places we listed. Do use this opportunity to take your mind off any lingering stress you have from the previous semester, and be able to come into the following semester rejuvenated and eager to learn!
