Go back to the future with Ratio Inc.’s robot baristas

The popularity of artisanal cafes has certainly not waned among youths. But gone were the days where the go-to spots for one’s coffee fix was Starbucks and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Instead, the trendy thing to do is to go to cafes that are quirky, uncommon and unique. Ratio Inc. definitely checks all the boxes – unlike most cafes in Singapore, the baristas that serve you here are robots, powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Located at #05-06 at the Centrepoint shopping mall, the cafe provides a modern twist to the traditional artisanal cafe experience.

1. ROBOT BARISTAS

Ratio Inc. has robots working hand-in-hand with their F&B staff, known as “Ratiologists”. The cafe aims to serve professionally crafted Nanyang and artisanal coffee, as well as cocktails prepared by their three robots. It can be quite a mesmerising sight to see the robots at work.

A cafe by day and lounge by night, their robotic baristas and bartenders elevate your local dining experience to a whole new level with AI.

Ratio Inc. and their co-working space is housed within the walls of JustCo Global. Their co-working space is equipped with charging points and free Wi-Fi, making this an ideal study place. With any purchase from Ratio Inc, you can get an hour of full access to this space at ease.

2. FOOD AND AMBIENCE

Ratio Inc. serves a range of 60 drinks, from locally originated Nanyang traditional Kopi, to their signature Tom Yum Martini and Boulevardier. Menu-wise, they have interesting coffee flavours such as Pandan Latte and Banana Latte. Fans of banana and coffee, the Banana Latte would be the fitting choice for you as the fruity taste mixed with coffee is delightful to the tastebuds.

Their caffeinated drinks are sold at an affordable price range of $1 to $7, with their liqueur coffee being the premium. Their cocktails are priced between $11 to $18 and you can get a half-pint beer at $3.90.

If you are not a coffee person, Ratio Inc. also serves alternatives such as Banana Milk, Coconut Milk, Cold Brew Green Tea as well as three types of juices to choose from. These drinks are all priced at $5.

Other than beverages, Ratio Inc. also serves finger food such as popcorn chicken, croissants, and even a ‘cruffin’ which is part croissant, part muffin. Their Multigrain Popcorn Chicken is covered in wholegrains and served with Citrus Aioli. Ratio Inc. provides a generous amount of Popcorn Chicken at the price of $6.

3. DIGITAL EXPERIENCE

Ratio Inc.’s menu is customisable with the help of a digital interface, allowing customers to experiment with their beverages. Drinks are tailored to each customer’s preferences, from the number of coffee shots to number of ice cubes. To beat the queue, you can also download the Ratio: Coffee, Cocktail, Food app on the Google Play Store or App Store to order and even customise your own drink to the exact ‘ratio’ you want.

The AI ratio ensures precision and speed, with lattes being made under a minute. No mess, no fuss! The use of technology is the future in the F&B industry. Customers are full of praises for the consistency and quality of drinks served with the help of first-rate robots.

While new to The Centrepoint, Ratio Inc will be launching another branch in Seletar Aerospace Park soon. Ratio Inc (Centrepoint) is open only on weekdays, from 8am to 10pm.
